Firstly, don't be scared away by the app process! It's simply to give us an idea of what type of roleplayer you are and whether we think you would fit well in the context of our community. Mostly, as long as you know your canon and are somewhat competent with words, it's basically a formality. :)

App Rules
Due to the nature of this game, we accept only characters from Marvel Universe Fandoms, original characters (OCs) based in the Marvel universe, and Marvel Universe AUs.
Rules regarding AUs:
Here's the fun part, this game is pretty much built around the concept of AUs. Canon AUs that is. In the Marvel Universe the Multiverse Theory has been proven time and again with many characters having multiple versions of themselves existing in separate universes. These characters, as far as we are concerned are canon, however seeing as some universes have very little page time in the comics (for example, Earth-3490), playing a character from that universe would require an extensive amount of headcanon, thus it is recommended that if you apply to play a character from one of these minor worlds, you discuss headcanon with any muns already playing characters from that world in order to avoid conflicts.
Please note that while technically Multiverse Theory would allow a past version of a character to interact with a version of themselves from the future, we do not allow two versions of the same character from the same universe but different time periods. For example, we would not allow an Earth-616 Cyclops from 1984 to play alongside an Earth-616 Cyclops from 2012. It would just be a little too dressing-room-ish.

The two determining factors on whether or not we'll accept another version of a character already in the game are:

App Rules
- Apps are generally open 24/7
- Each player may app a new character once every two weeks.
- When a player apps, they can only app one character at a time.
- There is a character cap of 3 characters each at present. That cap may be relaxed to 4 on occasion but only if the player is very active with all of their current characters. This is to prevent character squatting.
- There is no limit to how many characters per fandom, as far as apps go. However, if you play two characters from the same fandom, they can't be characters that are too closely related. (IE, you can't play Professor X and Magneto, but you can play Professor X and Iceman)

- Is the character different enough to be distinct? (A good example of characters that would be are Earth-616 Wolverine and Earth-295 Weapon Omega. Technically, both are James Howlett, but due to their dramatically different universes are very different people).
- THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT. Is the player of the version of the character already in the game down with it? If they are not cool with it, it's an instant NO. We hope people don't get too finicky about this though.
- You’ll need to explain these characters’ backgrounds and abilities more thoroughly than on a canon character app, since there’s no canon source for us to refer to. We may ask for more detail if we’re not sure about something.
- OCs must also have a designated universe, ie; Earth-515. They may hail from a canon alternate earth also, though again, speaking to any players whose characters hail from that universe is extremely important.
- We may decline certain powers and abilities if they seem too game-breaking or similar to an existing canon character.
- Canon OCs may have close relationships with the canon characters of their world. However this should be decided with the muns of the characters in question beforehand.
- We are not accepting transplants at this time

Give us at least 7 days to approve; after a week you can prod us and we encourage you to do so if you don't hear back as the app may have gotten caught in the spam or life may have jumped up to bite us in the ass. While waiting for app approval, you're allowed to hang out in the AIM chat and meet everyone if you'd like—heck, you can do that BEFORE you even app.
